U.S. says hackers probed voting systems, no pointer of damage


Hackers have probed a voting systems of many U.S. states though there is no pointer that they have manipulated any voting data, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson pronounced on Saturday.

National confidence officials are questioning a series of probable leads suggesting that cyber-criminals are perplexing to change a Nov. 8 presidential election, including by hacking into systems run by a Democratic National Committee.

Republican claimant Donald Trump has regularly charged that a U.S. choosing complement is “rigged” and tip Democrats in Congress have charged that Russia is behind steady attempts to entrance both celebration information and state voting systems.

“In new months, antagonistic cyber actors have been scanning a vast series of state systems, that could be a preliminary to attempted intrusions,” Johnson pronounced in a statement. “In a few cases, we have dynamic that antagonistic actors gained entrance to state voting-related systems. However, we are not wakeful during this time of any strategy of data.”
