Taiwan artist draws pleasure from tiny pencil carvings


TAIPEI Taiwan artist Lee Chien-chu stands in front of Xilou Bridge proudly holding adult a small figure of a landmark, a latest charity in his pencil sculpture series.

Lee has been peering by a magnifying potion to emanate small sculptures of several landmarks and black out of pencil lead for 6 years during his home in Yunlin County in western Taiwan.

His small sculptures can be as small as 0.1 mm prolonged and take hours to finish.

“I have combined a array about Buddha hands, a array about architecture, one about normal (Chinese) weapons and one about a alphabet. Those are all artworks that we like really much,” Lee told Reuters.
