Spanish military redeem 3 stolen Francis Bacon paintings


MADRID (Reuters) – Spanish military recovered 3 of 5 paintings by Irish-born artist Francis Bacon that were stolen from a Madrid home in 2015, they pronounced on Wednesday.

The paintings were estimated to be value some-more than 25 million euros ($29 million).

Three people were arrested in Jan in tie with a thefts after military raided homes in a Madrid segment and seized arms, safe-cracking manuals and oxy-fuel cylinders used for slicing metal.

Police gave no some-more sum on a recovered art works.
