Dow, S&P open aloft as gain accumulate pace


(Reuters) – The Dow and a SP were aloft during a open on Thursday, while a Nasdaq was small changed, as investors assessed a inundate of corporate formula in one of a busiest days for a third-quarter gain season.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI rose 113.42 points, or 0.49 percent, to 23,442.88. The SP 500 .SPX gained 6.78 points, or 0.26 percent, to 2,563.93. The Nasdaq Composite .IXIC combined 3.53 points, or 0.05 percent, to 6,567.42.
